Meet the Physicians of Family Practice


Kevin E. Anderson, M.D.

In practice with Family Practice of Cadillac since 2000, Dr. Anderson received his Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and is a diehard Spartan fan. He earned his M.D. degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and completed Family Medicine Residency at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. His licensure includes the American Academy of Family Practice Board Certification in 2000; being Clinical Assistant Professor at MSU College of Medicine and Clinical Preceptor at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Dr. Anderson’s interests include travel and tropical medicine as well as sports and adolescent medicine. Recently, he has expanded his management of diabetic patients to include group visits.  He is on staff at Mercy Hospital of Cadillac and is a frequent volunteer at the Cadillac Community Free Clinic.

A native of Cadillac, he is married with three children. He is a licensed private pilot and particularly enjoys diving, skiing, international travel and he rarely misses a MSU football game.

William R. Grace, D.O.

Dr. Grace started his medical career by earning his Bachelor of Science and Physician’s Assistant Degree from Mercy College of Detroit. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine Degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University, where he was accepted into their accelerated program and was a member of Iota Chapter of Sigma Sigma Phi Society. He completed his post-graduate training in Flint, Michigan at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, Hurley Medical Center, and McClaren General Hospital.

Dr. Grace has been Board Certified as a Physician by the National Board of Medical Examiners, certified by the State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, a Diplomate of the National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, Board Certified through the American College of Family Practitioners in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, and Board Certified through the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, where he has the status of Fellow.

His work experience includes five years working as a Physician’s Assistant with a Family Practice unit in Escanaba, Michigan at Doctor’s Park and has been a physician at Family Practice of Cadillac, PC since 1984.

He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and Wexford-Missaukee County Medical Society. His staff appointments include being an active member of Mercy Hospital of Cadillac.

In addition, he is active in training medical students and is a faculty member at Michigan State University in the College of Osteopathic Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family and Community Medicine, and Assistant Clinical Professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. He is as well a Clinical Faculty Member Instructor at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Wayne State University School of Medicine, and Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Personally he enjoys hunting and golf. He is married and has two grown children.

David M. Mutch, D.O.

Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in 1996 and the State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in 1981, Dr. Mutch graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alma College. He was Salutatorian and recipient of the Stewart Scholarship Award while attending medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. His internship was completed at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Dr. Mutch’s work experience has included Dialysis Technician at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Physician with Evart Medical Associates in Evart, Michigan, current general and family practice positions with the Family Practice of Cadillac and being on active staff with Mercy Hospital of Cadillac. His staff appointments include Past Chief of Staff and Past Board of Trustees, Reed City Hospital and Board of Regents, Baker College of Cadillac. Professional association memberships include American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons, Wexford-Missaukee Medical Society, and Board of Wexford-Mercy PHO. He has been Preceptor for Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Mutch resides in Cadillac with his wife Linda. They have two grown children. He enjoys travel, cross country skiing, kayaking, and gardening. He and his wife are members of Zion Lutheran Church.

Alicia T. Elmore, D.O.

Dr. Elmore received her undergraduate degree from Hope College and her medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. She completed her residency at the Medical Center of Independence in Independence, Missouri, where she also did research in preventative medicine. After her residency, Dr. Elmore practiced medicine on active military duty at the Family Practice Clinic at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Dr. Elmore is board certified in Family Practice. She has special interest in preventative medicine, sports medicine and pediatrics. She is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. She has practiced medicine at Family Practice of Cadillac since July 2004. Dr. Elmore is on staff at Mercy Hospital of Cadillac and volunteers at the Cadillac Community Free Clinic.

She is married with three children and enjoys running, snow-skiing, water-skiing, and spending time with her family. She and her family are active members at Cadillac Christian Reformed Church.

Brandon C. Peltier, D.O.

A graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Osteopathic degree, Dr. Peltier completed Family Practice internship and residency at Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia. His practice experience has included being an Army family practitioner for two years at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri followed by 13 months as Battalion Surgeon of the 1-9 Cavalry in Baghdad, Iraq. Since then he has been with Family Practice of Cadillac.

Board Certified by American Board of Family Medicine in 2002, Dr. Peltier is on staff at Mercy Hospital of Cadillac. He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and Michigan Osteopathic Association and Board of the Wexford-Mercy PHO.

He is married with four children. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, music and spending time with his family.

Helen M. Kiomento, M.D.

Dr. Kiomento graduated from Albion College with majors in both Biology and English.  She received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.  She graduated with an award in clinical excellence. 

She completed her residency at the University of Cincinnati, with special interest in Travel Medicine.  She served as Chief Resident for one year, and following residency, served as faculty at the University of Cincinnati teaching inpatient and outpatient medicine, as well as obstetrics and travel medicine.

Dr. Kiomento is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  She has special interest in Preventive Medicine and Travel Medicine.  She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice.  She is the Medical Director of the Stehouwer Free Clinic in Cadillac, and volunteers at the clinic.

Dr. Kiomento has lived in Cadillac since 2007.  She has two children and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, skiing, cycling, and being outside in any season.

Family Practice will be closing at 5 p.m on Friday, July 28th, 2017. The office will re-open on Saturday, July 29th at 8 a.m.
